Goals: 

• To provide young people with free and accessible opportunities to develop skills and competences by contributing to the positive formation of a young person's personality;

• Strengthen the cultural perception of young people and to promote creativity by developing the availability of free cultural activities;

• Increase, develop youth information/ awareness of the opportunities available to young people in Vilnius.​

Tasks:

• To organize practical workshops to explore different cultural directions in order to develop creativity and other skills and competencies;

• To prepare and implement an information campaign that introduces youth to cultural niches and access opportunities;

• To ensure space that allows young people to practice or further develop skills acquired during the workshop.​

Project results: 

A successful two -day festival "Flash of Culture", which brought together young people aged 14-29 to six different cultural workshops, led by seven professionals in their field. During the event, participants were able to admire two cultural photo exhibitions. Young people were also given information about the free or minimal physical spaces offered by our organization, adapted to a variety of youth activities.

During the project's implementation, the information campaign was active: organizations were shared with various records of cultural capabilities, events and video materials on social networks. In addition, an article on the project and its events was published on the Made In Vilnius media platform. The project activities were further continued - three additional workshops were held at our annual volunteering conference.

 

The festival participants not only gained new knowledge, competencies and cultural and social experiences, but also received digital badges to support their achievements. They discovered unheard cultural areas, tried themselves in various roles, learned new skills and, most importantly, became interested in culture.

This event has once again proved that the involvement of young people in cultural activities promotes creativity, community and curiosity.

This event is part of the youth program project "Unlock Culture". The project is funded by Vilnius City Municipality.

Culture Flash - is a two days cultural festival where creation and the empowerment of young people combine in one place. The culture flash will have the opportunity to participate in the creative workshop of the selected genre. 

Culture is not only galleries and museums, but also music, dance, theater, cinema, literature, and many other forms of creation. Each genre of culture has its own unique way to express thoughts, emotions and tell stories.
